Coal Transition Impacts and the Approach to Inclusive Just Transition Policies in Indonesia

This report is a collaboration between IISD and Traction Energy Asia. It examines the economic, social, and gendered impacts of potential coal mine closures across key coal-producing provinces in Indonesia. The publication explores viable pathways toward a just transition, identifying potential economic sectors and proposing solutions to ensure the inclusion of vulnerable groups, including women and informal workers.
