About us

Traction Energy Asia is an independent multidisciplinary group of experts and advocates on climate change, energy policy, CO2 emissions reduction, clean energy and the law. We are Indonesia-based with a regional focus across Asia. Traction Energy Asia was registered under our Indonesian name, Transformasi Energi Asia, as a charitable foundation (Yayasan) with Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights in July 2018.

Our Goal

We focus on identifying, mapping, understanding, and devising strategies to unlock the political and economic barriers that block the transformative action needed to speed up the switch to ‘low carbon economic growth powered by clean energy, and to mitigate the damaging impacts of climate change.
